New to NFTs?
What is an NFT?
The term NFT refers to non-fungible token. Non-fungible tokens, unlike BTC, ETH, and even USD, are one-of-a-kind assets held on the blockchain. NFTs come in a variety of formats, including as artwork, photography, audio, and more. All NFTs are one-of-a-kind and cannot be reproduced in any way.
How do I mint?
A Ethereum-compatible crypto wallet, such as MetaMask, is required to purchase an NFT.
As this is a free mint you will only have to pay the gas fee. You'll need a small amount of ETH in your wallet so you might need to buy ETH.
After that, you'll use your wallet address to transfer your ETH from the exchange to your wallet.
Although MetaMask and Coinbase are not the only possibilities, they are the most popular and certainly the most straightforward for someone unfamiliar with NFTs.
Where do I keep my NFTs?
It's advisable to keep your NFTs in a software crypto wallet (such as MetaMask) with a 12-word seed phrase and password to safeguard them. You can also get an actual hardware wallet, although it isn't absolutely essential. However, because it is fully offline, it adds an added degree of security.
